For years we have been slightly complaisant in checking. Tonight we got the abrupt reminder.
I think the last time was 2013 in Texas where Black Widows aplenty infested my mother’s tent and the camp. Tonight and since it’s an actual reminder of how serious this is. We needs to check Shoes, Toilet Seats and anywhere the little (or not) critters can get.
We had Brazilian Wandering Spiders and Scorpions but this one was a bit close. It’s either a tarantula or a baboon spider. The latter not being serious at all and the former only mildly problematic if annoyed.
