Queen

Whilst visiting a mall for some reason. Just wandering around Bangkok we were progressively stopped from getting to places we wanted to go to. Turns out the Queen was coming to the Mall for some charitable reason. She’s a very elegant lady by the way. The security was tight. A child popped a balloon which caused a bit of high alert for 0.25 seconds.

She gilded past like a Queen would with lots of salutes and local glee. The guy at the side of me was suitably impressed and he was from the Philippines.

We stood around for over an hour waiting. To be clear we both did that, jelly wasn’t happy. She was thirsty but I didn’t want to lose my well earned viewing spot.

I’d love to have spoken to her but of course not a chance. I wonder what it’s like being Queen in a country where the royal family is so respected. They seem to do a lot of good things for the country.
